State Information Commission

Jharkhand State Information Commission was constituted by the State Government Vide Notification No.:-3825 dated 24.07.2006.
The first Chief Information Commissioner Honourable Mr. Justice Hari Shankar Prasad (Retd.) took the oath of the office on 30.07.2006 and continued till 30.06.2008, other six Information Commissioners who had taken the oath of their office simultaneously, continued till July 2011. Thereafter Honourable Mr. Justice Dililp Kumar Sinha (Retd.) took the oath of the office of C.I.C. on 05.08.2011 and he continued till 31.07.2014.Then Mr. Aditya swarup IAS (Retd.) took Oath as a Chief Information Commisssioner on 24.04.2015 and he is continuing the same

Rules of the 'State Information Commission' regarding:-
1. Disposal of appeals and complaints

2. Constitution of Bench

3. General Superintendence, Direction and Management of the affairs of the Commission

4. Office hours

5. Filing procedures and registration of appeals & complaints

(i) The appellant had filed application for information before PIO or APIO along with requisite fee.

(ii) The appellant has filed 1st appeal before 1st appellant authority within thirty days.

(iii) The concerned Public Authority had not designate PIO u/s 5(1) of RTI Act.

(iv) The appellant has filed the appeal before the Commissioner within the times specified u/s 19(3) of RTI Act and if not then whether appellant has filed application u/s 19(5) proviso for condemnation of delay.

(v) Appeal of 19(3) shall be registered as Appeal before Commissioner (ABCD no.) and if any complaint or the application is filed then the same shall be registered as Miscellaneous Application (M.A.).
